Upcoming photo contest

Info regarding photo submission and contest start/end dates will be announced at the end of the summer.


PHOTO CATEGORIES

1. Surveys (people in photos must be wearing proper PPE)

  • Bat emergence and/or people conducting emergence counts

  • Internal colony counts

  • Capture surveys


2. Acoustic equipment setups (mobile/stationary surveys)

  • Entrants with unique/interesting equipment setups are encouraged to submit multiple, detailed photos to support others in replicating the setup. If submitting multiple equipment photos, please designate which is the contest entry.


3. Bats, the following species:

  • Corynorhinus rafinesquii Rafinesque’s big-eared bat

  • Corynorhinus townsendii Townsend’s big-eared bat

  • Lasiurus borealis Eastern red bat

  • Myotis austroriparius Southeastern myotis

  • Myotis ciliolabrum Western small-footed myotis

  • Myotis evotis Western long-eared bat

  • Myotis thysanodes Fringed bat

  • Myotis velifer Cave bat

  • Myotis volans Long-legged bat

  • Myotis yumanensis Yuma bat

  • Perimyotis subflavus Tricolored bat

  • Tadarida brasiliensis Brazilian free-tailed bat


Individuals may enter one photo per category, up to three total entries.


The winner from each category will be awarded 2 AudioMoths!
